William Popejoy

POPEJOY, William R.     Born on November 21, 1940 to Francis L. and Lola M. Popejoy. He was the oldest of five children; two brothers, Richard and Steven, and two sisters, Karyl and Martha. On November 15, 2012 Bill lost his battle with cancer. He is survived by his loving wife, Coral Popejoy of 19 years, son, Tom Popejoy , daughter, Lorna Reyna , sisters, Karyl Wustrack, and Martha Langenheim, two hanau daughters, Windy and Misty, and hanau son, Buddy.  Bill is also survived by ten grandchildren, and nine nieces and nephews. He lived in Palmdale for the majority of his adult life, and was a successful and proud owner and proprietor of B & D Pets. Bill enjoyed vacations with his wife in Hawaii, cooking, and fishing. He had a strong passion for music, was a great storyteller, loved telling cheesy jokes, and spending time with family and friends. If you didn't know Bill, within minutes you would be accepted into his fold as family. Bill will be dearly missed by all.  A funeral service will be held at 11am on Thursday, November 29, 2012 at Chapel of the Valley Mortuary, 1755 E. Ave. R, Palmdale, Calif. 93550.
