Velma Titter

TITTER, Velma Teresa born October 5, 1928 in Erie, PA.  Passed away July 31, 2011 in Palmdale, CA.  Velma was born and raised in Erie, PA into a large Italian family, which consisted of 6 girls and 1 boy.  She moved to Palmdale in 1959 with her husband John and two children, John and Susan.  John and Velma worked in the aircraft industry for many years.  Velma was preceded in death by her husband John in 1989 and continued to work for Rockwell until her retirement in 1991.  Velma’s hobby was reading mystery novels. Velma’s greatest accomplishment in life was raising two wonderful children and helped in raising her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She is survived by her son, John B. Titter, Jr. of Upland, daughter, Dr. Susan McDougal of Palmdale, grandchildren, Cory McDougal and Danielle McDougal, great-grandchildren, Raenelle, Triniti, Christian, and Amelia McDougal.  Velma lived with her daughter Susan and was surrounded by family and friends until her passing.  We will all miss her love, smile, and friendship.  A memorial mass will be held at 10am Friday, August 5, 2011 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Palmdale.  You may sign the condolence book at chapelofthevalleymortuary.com.  Chapel of the Valley Mortuary, Palmdale Directors.
