Robert Walton

WALTON, Robert Ronco, Born Dec. 5, 1953 in Dickinson, North Dakota.  Died August 30, 2012 in Littlerock, Calif.  Longtime Valley resident, Bob moved to Palmdale in 1960, attending St. Mary’s, Paraclete, and Palmdale High Schools. Bob met Melinda, the love of his life in the spring of 1973 while attending college in Chico, Calif.  Bob retired after 36 years with Los Angeles County as a senior building and equipment maintenance supervisor.  He served Acton Rehabilitation and Warm Springs well with his ability to fix anything.  After his retirement in 2009, Bob started his own maintenance business.  In his spare time, Bob enjoyed fishing and restoring old cars with his sons.  He loved spending time with his family.  Like Bob always said, “It’s all about the love.”  Bob was the best father, husband, brother, grandpa, son, uncle and friend anyone could ask for.  He will be in our hearts always.  Bob is survived by his parents, Robert R. Walton of Dickinson, North Dakota, mother, Doris Thompson of Palmdale, Wife, Melinda Walton, sons, Nathan and Eli Walton, grandchildren, Taylor, Mathew, Sierra and Isabella, siblings, Paul Walton, Janie Walton, Tracy Lollis, BJ Petersen, and Marymichael Walton, numerous nieces and nephews and their children.  A celebration of Bob’s life will be held at 7pm, Friday, Sept. 14, 2012 at the Palmdale Moose Lodge, Ave Q and 30th St. E.   You may sign the condolence book at www.chapelofthevalleymortuary.com.
