Laura Miller

Private interment will be at Eternal Valley Memorial Park   Jean was born in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin to Harry A and Laura E (Weber)Porter.  She moved to California and graduated from San Fernando High School in 1947.  Jean married Miles D Miller in 1950 and moved to Palmdale in 1953.  She drove a school bus for Palmdale School District and worked as a secretary for Rolls Royce at Lockheed during the L1011 project.  She also owned and operated a knit shop in the 1960s and continued knitting, quilting, and embroidering until recently.  She loved to bake and made pies and cookies for family members and holidays.  Jean also enjoyed camping, boating and waterskiing with her husband and children.   Jean is survived by two children Gary W (Linda M) and Sherrie L Miller.  Three grandchildren Troy Miller (Amber M), Nicholas Gambaiani and Kristy Buxkemper (Mike).  Four great-grandchildren Aidan Miller; Colton, Jace and Kyle Buxkemper.  Her sister-in-law Edna Porter, nieces and nephews.   She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister Betty Micham and brother Harry.
