Jim Cole

COLE, Jim , a lifelong resident of Palmdale, California, died in his home on December 15, 2015.  Jim enthusiastically dedicated his professional career to the expansion and prosperity of the Antelope Valley as the long-time owner and proprietor of A.V. Land Inc. in Palmdale.  The numerous land development projects and businesses he brought to the area are a testament to his unique vision that spanned his 45 years as a local businessman.  With his outgoing charm, easy and open nature, and near constant smile, Jim earned the respect, admiration, and friendship of many who will remember his shared stories and laughs and his passion for Dodgers baseball.  He was a devoted husband, father, son, grandson, and friend and is survived by his beloved wife, Charlene Cole, five children, his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, sister, nieces and nephews. Family and friends are welcome at memorial services in Jim’s honor to be held at 1:00 pm on January 9th at Desert Winds Community Church in Palmdale. Additional information about arrangements can be found at  www.chapelofthevalleymortuary.com.
