Gwendolyn Watchinski

Gwendolyn Marie Watchinski passed into heaven on May 10, 2016 at the age of 88 where she joined her beloved husband Chuck to enjoy together the splendor and perfect joy of God’s presence.  She was preceded in death by her husband Chuck on October 10, 2010 after 64 years of marriage.  She is survived by her brother Bob Glomb, son Rick Watchinski and his spouse Jennifer, daughter Kathy Anderson and her spouse Gary, daughter Anita Hossele, 8 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.  Gwen was passionate and outspoken about her faith, her family and her extended family (close friends, prayer group members, St Andrew’s Monks and in her final years the many caregivers that helped her).  She continued her Christ like attitude always striving in her own tough spirited way to be a blessing and not a burden to others.  She lived her life in service and example of a Christian woman striving to spread the light of the gospel in all that she did.  She and her beloved husband will truly be missed by all whose lives they touched.  We three surviving children, spouses and all our progeny were so very blessed to be given life and love by such Godly people.  The Mass of Christian Burial for Gwen is scheduled at 11am, Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at St. Andrew's Abbey with interment to follow at the Abbey Cemetery both in Valyermo, CA.  ?Chapel of the Valley Mortuary, Palmdale Directors.
