Glee Catherine Essner Tague
Born May 26, 1934 in the Village of Browns Valley, County of Traverse, State of Minnesota to Jerome and Catherine (Barker) Essner. She went to be with our Lord on January 18, 2021.
Glee was the fourth child in a family of seven siblings. Doris Wais, Jerry Essner, Betty Larson, Glee Tague, Mary Clevenger, Jim Essner and Vicky Zapf.
In 1946, when Glee was 12 years old, her family moved from Browns Valley, Minnesota to Hawthorne, California. She attended Washington Elementary School and St. Mary’s Catholic High School for girls , which she would be often seen jumping or climbing the fence.
Glee met the love of her life, Lee Tague, in the winter of 1951. They attended her Senior Prom in the spring of 1952. Lee proposed and they were married on April 18, 1953 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Hawthorne, California.
They raised three children, Robert Lee Tague (spouse Susie), Sharon Lynne (Tague) Schultz (spouse Larry) and Thomas Jerome Tague (deceased)(spouse Maureen). They lived their married life in Hawthorne and Redondo Beach before retiring and building their dream home in Littlerock, California. They have resided in Littlerock since 1989.
Glee was a loving wife to Lee for 67 years. Glee leaves behind nine grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Cory Tague (spouse Corene), children: Cole, Chloe and Cai; Kindy (Tague) Hohman (spouse Dave), children: Caleb, Cayden, and Callie; Kyle Tague (spouse Jill), children: Avery, Ella, and Harper; Cody Tague (spouse Harmony), children: Finley and Skyler; Kevin Little (spouse Jenny), children; Lacey and Kaitlyn; Dustin Little; Brandon Little; Ryan Tague (spouse Erin), child: Dylan; Katie (Tague) Villegas, child: Adalynn.
Glee loved golfing, fishing, camping, bowling, baking, sewing, crafts, and most of all entertaining family.
Our wife, mom, grandma, GG, sister and aunt will truly be missed. Her memories will last in our hearts forever. Glee’s famous words of encouragement were “God love ya”. Now may she Rest In Peace with God loving her.
