Gerald Gilmore

GILMORE, Gerald Ward born June 15, 1938 in Pasadena, CA. Passed away February 25, 2016 in Palmdale, CA. Gerald has been a resident of the Antelope Valley for over 40 years and a member of the Elks Lodge #1625. He served his country in the US Army. He worked on the Space Shuttle Discovery, and avid bowler and avid golfer. He is preceded in death by his son, Mark Gilmore, Father, Smokey Gilmore and mother, Opal Gilmore. He leaves behind his son, John Gilmore, Sr., grandson, John Gilmore, Jr., daughter, Sheila Stepp and husband Thomas, granddaughter, Jordan stepp, sister, Sharon Bakeman, niece, Christy Bakeman, Nephew, David Bakeman, and his caring loving companion of 33 years Mary Dahl, and daughter, Lynne Dahl. A graveside service will be held at 11am Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at Desert Lawn memorial Park in Palmdale. A memorial service will also be held at 11am Friday, March 4, 2016 at the Elks Lodge #1625 420 E. Ave. K, Lancaster, CA. Chapel of the Valley Mortuary, Palmdale Directors.
