Beloved husband, father, grandpa, uncle, son, friend. Fred is survived by his wife of 64 years, Vera, daughters Patti Walter of Tustin, son, Mike (Trish) Walter of Quartz Hill, Lisa (Will) Tangalos of Corte Madera. Fred’s son, Sam Walter preceded him in death. Fred has three granddaughters, Courtney(Mike)Phelan, Alexa and Ursula Tangalos, grandson Colton Walter(Brittany), one great-grandson, Brady, three great-granddaughters, Giselle, Sydney and Sophia. Fred is also survived by his sisters, Virginia and Ida (Mel) and brother, Bud Walter. Fred retired from Lockheed where he worked as a manager and made many friends. Fred was a past member of the Palmdale Planning Commission and a current member of the Knights of Columbus. Fred loved people, loved golfing and loved his family. We will miss him dearly. Services will be held on Friday, March 8th at 10:00 a.m. at Father Serra Parish 42121 60th Street West in Quartz Hill. Internment to follow at Good Shepherd Cemetery. Chapel of the Valley Mortuary, Palmdale Directors.
