Elizabeth Clark

August 26, 1915 — September 18, 2013

CLARK, Elizabeth “Liz” Larue was born to Peter and Grace Hoffman in Franklin, Ohio on August 26, 1915.  Passed away September 18, 2013 in Palmdale, CA.  During her high school and Jr. College years she played the Alto Sax.  She married Kenneth W. Clark (deceased) on May 29, 1938.  Elizabeth and Kenny were blessed with two wonderful boys.  First with Thomas and later Terry (deceased).  Liz and Kenny moved to Palmdale by way of Arizona in 1952.  Elizabeth retired from Juniper Intermediate School in Palmdale in 1974 as School Secretary.  Liz served as Treasure for the City of Palmdale from 1975 to 1986.  Elizabeth was a devoted Charter member of the Palmdale United Methodist Church.  She volunteered at the “old” Palmdale hospital.  She also volunteered at the Lancaster Performing Arts Center and the Palmdale Playhouse into her 90’s.  Liz received the Volunteer of the Year award from the Palmdale Playhouse for 2004 and 2005.  Elizabeth’s legacy of devotion to family, Christ and Community lives in her son Thomas Clark (Margaret) of Gardenville, NV and the memory of her son Terry Clark (Gabrielle) both deceased.  Nurtured in her grandchildren, Patrick Clark (Melinda) of Palmdale, CA, Darren Clark of Elko, NV and Ryan Clark of Carson City, NV.  And most cherished blooms in her great-grandchildren, Vincent Clark, Seth Clark, Sydney Clark of Palmdale, CA, and Hannah Clark of Carson City, NV.  We learned your lessons well.  You will be forever in our hearts.  A graveside service will be held at 10am Friday, September 27, 2013 at Desert Lawn Memorial Park in Palmdale with a memorial service immediately following at Palmdale United Methodist Church.  Chapel of the Valley Mortuary, Palmdale Directors
