Douglas Sibbald

Douglas Walter Sibbald, born to Walter M. Sibbald and Frances E. (Smith) Sibbald in Newark, New Jersey. After attending high school, spent one year working in an office; when the war broke out, he joined the U.S. Navy and served in the Korean War.  Spending 4 years in the Navy, he returned to the States, but decided that he would much prefer to live on the West Coast and settled in California.  Before long, he met and married the love of his life, Marlene.  During their 50 years of marriage, they had 3 children.  In 1996, Doug retired from the Insurance industry, and in 1999 he and Marlene built their dream home in Lancaster, California.  Predeceased by Marlene in June, 2005, Doug is survived by his sister, Marian, his children, Barri, Vicki and Douglas, and his loving grandchildren, Shannon, Genifer, Brandon, Emilee, and Natalie.  Doug passed away March 13, 2014 at the age of 82.
