Doris Ritchie

RITCHIE, DORIS MAY  born on August 10, 1928 in Monroe, Michigan, died on October 24, 2015 at home in Palmdale, surrounded by her loving family. She was a member of daughter's of the nile, CA. State Grange, VFW Auxzilary & Beta Sigma PHI where she held 53 years of perfect attendance. Doris was also a 69 year member of the Horizan Community Church (Palmdale Presbyterian). Doris was preceded in death by her husband Dean C. Rithcie of 64 years in 2010. Doris is survived by son's Michael (Nancy), David (Brenda) both of Palmdale, Daughter Karen Capasso (Louis) of Lancaster & son Bruce (Lesley) of Helotes, Texas. Also survived by 10 grandchildren. Numerous great grandchildren, step grandchildren, nieces & nephews. Sister's Ruth Cross (Avery) of La Peer, Michigan & Edith Stephens of Wildomar, CA., & Sister in law Eleanor Ritchie of Palmdale. Donations can be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children or American Breast Cancer Society. Viewing will be November 11, 3-7 PM at Chapel of the Valley Mortuary. Services will be November 12, 11 AM at Horizon Community Church, Palmdale, CA.
