Betty Stout

August 28, 1927 — July 10, 2011

STOUT, Betty Jean (Bouldin),  Died on July 10th after a long illness.  She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Marvin A. Stout; her daughter Anna Darlene Newberger; her four sons: Marvin Jr., John, Richard, and Terry Stout; 8 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and long-time friends Matsue and Harry Martindale.  She was born on August 28, 1927 to Effie and Clyde Bouldin of Tulsa, OK.  She attended Webster High School but left school at the age of 17 to marry.  Jean became an Air Force wife and over the next 26 years lived in roughly 20 states including Alaska and Guam while raising their five children.   Career wise, Jean worked in sales, a family restaurant, as a licensed vocational nurse, and after moving to Palmdale in 1971, played a major role operating the family tax service business.  She was also an active member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the TREA Women’s Auxiliary.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and traveling—especially to Las Vegas, Cape Cod and Oklahoma.  Her generous heart and fun loving spirit will be greatly missed.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Palmdale Chapter of TREA c/o Tax Service Specialists 525 Commerce Avenue, Suite A, Palmdale, Ca. 93551.  Visitation will be held from 3pm to 7pm, Monday, July 18, 2011 with funeral services to be held at 10am Tuesday, July 19, 2011 both at Chapel of the Valley Mortuary Palmdale.  Interment to follow at Desert Lawn Memorial Park.  A reception will be held immediately following the services at the Palmdale Masonic Lodge, 2231 E. Ave. Q, Palmdale, Ca.
