Anthony Gaeta

GAETA, Anthony, Born October 7, 1928 in Buffalo New York. Passed away June 30, 2016 in Palmdale, Calif. He is predeceased by his wife of 57 years, Ivana Gaeta. He is survived by his children, Paul Gaeta and wife Anne, Rosanne Overton and husband Rob, and Lisa Gaeta; grandchildren, Anthony and Joseph Gaeta, Danielle Withers, Brooke Penney and Lauren Overton; great-grandchildren Sofia, Travis and Audrey Penney, and Angelina Gaeta; sister Jean Box and sister-in-law, Josephine Piraino. Mr. Gaeta, a Pension Specialist for Transamerica Life, spent the “best years of his life” in retirement with Ivana and their family. They both volunteered for the Antelope Valley Committee on Aging “Meals on Wheels” for 11 years, with Anthony serving one term as chairman of the board. Visitation will be held from 4pm-7pm with the Rosary to be recited at 6pm, both on Thursday, July 7, 2016 at Chapel of the Valley Mortuary. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am Friday, July 8, 2016 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Internment to follow at Desert Lawn Memorial Park.
