Aileen Nesmith

Aileen Nesmith, born November 2, 1925 in Lincoln, Nebraska, passed away November 9, 2017.  Born Aileen Simpson she married Rollin Nesmith and they had 8 children:  Michael Nesmith of Prescott, AZ; William Nesmith (Pre-deceased); Rollin Nesmith of Altadena, CA; Theresa Klein of Tucson, AZ; Stephen Nesmith of Chanute, KS; Debora Simmons of Lancaster, CA; Patricia Burns of Covina, CA; and Judith Barry of North Hollywood, CA.   Aileen was a member of the 1991 - 1992 Los Angeles County Grand Jury, a member of the Young Ladies Institute for over 50 years, and was a Lay Carmelite.  She was a devout Catholic and was an active member at St. Mary’s Catholic Church until her health declined.  She had served as a Eucharistic Minister and belonged to the Crafters.   She is survived by 7 of her children, 19 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.  She was loved and will be missed.   There will be a viewing held at Chapel of the Valley Mortuary from 3:00 to 7:00 pm on November 21st with the Rosary at 6:00 pm and a service will be held at St. Mary’s at 10:00 am on November 22nd.
